Donald Trump in January 2027: the reading

The year begins with Mars standing still. On January 11 Mars turns retrograde in Virgo, in his first house of personal drive and self-presentation, and it stays retrograde until April 2. For a chart with Mars rising, a Mars retrograde in the first house asks for recalibration: energy turns inward, attacks are more likely to rebound, and old fights tend to come back for a second round.

One day later, on January 12, Saturn makes its last exact square to his natal Mercury, closing a series that began in the autumn. Saturn–Mercury transits test words, contracts and decisions; by now, the lessons of what was said in recent months are on the table.

Jupiter, still retrograde in Leo, squares his Midheaven exactly on January 23 and keeps a supportive sextile to his Sun. Career ambitions remain large, but the square warns against promising more than can be delivered. The Full Moon in Leo on January 22 falls in his twelfth house: a moment for retreat and private reckoning.
